Prey drive, my specialty. And the work closest to my heart.

Prey drive training is deeply personal to me. Rafiki, my rescue Boerboel. 70kg of power, instinct, and intensity.
Sarabi is my elderly rescue British Medium Hair cat. 4kg. Quiet, sensitive, and vulnerable. For a time, my home felt like a war zone. Rafiki was constantly scanning, fixating, unable to fully switch off. Sarabi lived in a state of chronic stress, navigating her own home cautiously, always watching, always bracing. There was no calm. No ease. No sense of safety.

I later learned that Rafiki had an allegedly history of killing cats. This was something I had not been told at the time. Had I known, I would never have taken her on. What followed was not luck or wishful thinking. It was learning, trial, setbacks, responsibility, and an unwavering commitment to understanding prey drive rather than dismissing it. Carefully, that relationship changed. If you look through my social media now, you will see what that relationship later became. Calm. Trust. Coexistence.

Many trainers have told my clients that addressing prey drive is impossible. I know it is not. I have lived it. I have worked through it with my own animals, and I have since helped clients restore calm in their homes and rediscover enjoyment on walks.

And that is exactly why this work matters to me. And why I want the same peace for you. This work is suitable for a wide range of prey drive related challenges, both inside and outside the home. That includes dogs who fixate on or chase cats, birds, foxes, squirrels, chickens, or other small animals, as well as dogs whose prey drive impacts their ability to disengage on walks or settle in shared spaces. Each case is assessed individually, with safety, welfare, and realism at the centre of the plan.

The programme includes most training tools used during sessions, including corrective tools and training treats where appropriate. In some cases, specialist equipment may be required. If this is the deemed necessary following assessment, this would be discussed fully in advance and is not included in the programme.
