Consultation & Training

YOU DO NOT NEED GUESSWORK. YOU NEED CLARITY!

If you are struggling with your dog’s behaviour, or you simply want to get things right from the start with a new puppy, this consultation is designed to give you clarity, guidance, and a structured plan moving forward.

Dogs do not struggle for no reason. Behaviour is communication. Sometimes it is confusion, sometimes fear, sometimes frustration, and sometimes a pattern that has simply been rehearsed for too long.

This Behaviour Consultation allows us to slow things down, understand what is really going on for your dog, and create a clear, practical plan that works for both of you.

Whether your dog is showing early signs of difficulty, or you are dealing with behaviour that has been challenging for some time, we can break the process down into manageable steps and move forward together.

Common behavioural concerns we can work on:

  • Aggressive displays such as barking or lunging

  • Impulse control difficulties

  • Nervous or fearful behaviour

  • Excessive barking

  • Resource guarding

  • Scavenging

  • High prey drive

  • Recall difficulties

  • Fixation on fast moving people or objects such as prams, bikes, joggers or cars

  • General behaviour challenges or lack of responsiveness

  • Every dog and every household is different, so the approach will always be tailored to your individual situation

What the consultation includes:

  • 1 to 1 Home Visit

  • Each appointment lasts approximately 2 hours and takes place in or around your home. This allows us to see your dog in their real environment and work through the challenges you are experiencing.

  • A Step-by-Step Plan

  • We focus on one or two behavioural concerns at a time so the process feels achievable. I will guide you through the training and recommend how many sessions may be helpful for your dog.

  • Homework & Practical Guidance

  • After each session you will receive clear homework tasks and guidance so you can confidently continue the work between appointments

Ongoing Contact:

Training does not only happen during sessions. You are encouraged to stay in touch between appointments by sending videos, voice notes and updates via WhatsApp, so I can support you as things progress.

Aftercare:

You will have 4 weeks of aftercare support, meaning you can check in for guidance while you continue implementing the training.

Understanding your dog:

During our sessions we will also explore some of the factors that influence behaviour, including:

  • How dogs learn and how behaviour is reinforced

  • Socialisation and how misunderstandings around this can create difficulties

  • Diet and lifestyle factors that may be influencing behaviour

Understanding these foundations often makes a huge difference to how quickly progress can happen.

Location:

Sessions take place in and around your home, depending on the needs of the training.

A calm and supportive starting point.

Behaviour struggles can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to navigate them alone.

With clear guidance, practical training, and steady support, meaningful change is absolutely possible.

If you are ready to understand your dog better and start moving things in a positive direction, I would be very happy to work with you.
